GreenTech 2023

I presented my paper titled ‘Valuing DER Location based on the Impact on Transmission Network: A Planning Tool’ at the 2023 Green Technologies Conference held in Aurora, Denver between April 19-21. I was also awarded the ‘Best Presentation’ award in the ‘Distributed Energy Resources’ technical session.

The whole conference was a positive learning experience for me, having been able to listen to top researchers and industry experts on a multitude of topics related to power systems. I was also able to interact personally with some of the peers, and discuss about our work and common interests.

My university, Wichita State University, hosts the 2025 edition of the GreenTech conference. As a committee member responsible for part of the organizing work behind it, I took this opportunity to learn as much as possible on what goes behind the conference, and how things are pulled off through some discussions with the organizers of this edition.
