Wichita State University College of Engineering together with the Graduate Student Ambassadors of CoE organized the first ever Annual Engineering Research Symposium (AERS). This is a poster presentation competition where graduate and undergraduate students of all engineering disciplines can present their work under three levels of research experience: novice, emerging, and expert. Judges from different engineering backgrounds will be assigned to evaluate students based on their ability and clarity in conveying their work.
Since I am 1.5 years into my PhD, I participated under the ‘Emerging’ category and presented my work on ‘Resiliency Planning with DERs’. At the end of the competition, I was awarded the first place in my category. Koushik Sarkar and Adithya Melagoda, who are also part of my research group were awarded 2nd places in their respective categories.
