B.Sc. Engineering

I was enrolled into the B.Sc. Engineering Program in University of Moratuwa, along with nine hundred students who had top performances in GCE A/L exams chosen in merit basis from a competitive pool of more than 30,000 eligible candidates. After securing good results in the first semester competitive exam, I chose the Department of Electrical Engineering to continue my specialized program.

I was constantly placed among the top 25 students in this program throughout my four years of undergraduate course. In my final year I was chosen by the students to serve as one of the batch representatives and I gladly used that opportunity to work closer with many lecturers and learn more about the administrative activities of the department.

In August 2021, at the end of my program, I graduated with a second class upper degree in B.Sc.Eng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering, with a GPA of 3.61. My final year group project, ‘Pose Estimation of a Robot Arm from a Single Camera’ was ranked 5th among the 34 projects in the final evaluations, while receiving very positive feedback for my final presentation from the panel of evaluators.
