RMA was working on a report about network grid of Dhaka, Bangladesh for Asian Development Bank (ADB), and a detailed network diagram of Dhaka needed to be annexed to the report. Such a diagram was not readily available anywhere at that time. What we had was 3 basecase (.sav) files, one each for west, north and east parts of Dhaka with all the network data, which was previously used for load flow studies. When this file is loaded in PSS®E 33.4 software, it appears messy and many existing connections were not shown. My task was to make the three diagrams look presentable for the report.
using PSS/E software I brought out the hidden connections, removed the old ones, meticulously compared the diagram to original to add missing connections, cleared up the clumsy annotations, color-marked the lines, rearranged lines to minimize crossings, and finalized a clean looking set of diagrams.
