After completing my undergraduate degree at Department of Electrical Engineering, I immediately joined with the same department as a temporary instructor. After 3 months, I was promoted to temporary lecturer post.
Temporary Lecturer (2021 Nov – Present)
I was involved in the following activities as a Temporary Lecturer:
- Prepared explanatory videos that involve lab experiments and relevant theory for ‘Transmission Line Studies’ and ‘Input Current Harmonics Analysis’. I employed animations to explain clearly the concepts of power circle diagrams and harmonic distortions.
- Preparing weekly assessment quizzes for Semester 7 ‘Robotics and Mechatronics’ module
- Preparing a study text for the Semester 6 ‘Automation and Control Technologies’ module
- Devised the complete practical schedule for Semester 3, 5 and 7 students and coordinated the instructors
Temporary Instructor (2021 Aug – 2021 Oct)
I was involved in the following activities as a Temporary Instructor:
- To familiarize the semester 7 students of ‘Robotics and Mechatronics module’ with a robot arm manipulator, I was tasked to do a lab demonstration with ‘Kinova Mico 2’ robot arm. I devised up a practical completely from scratch including lab sheet, recorded the practical, and prepared a explanatory video.
- Conducted and recorded other laboratory experiments such as ‘Measurement of Earth Resistance’ and ‘RCD Testing’
- I conducted part of the ‘field familiarization program’ for the semester 1 students, where I introduced them about certain aspects of our department including the lab facilities and answer their questions regarding the department. These sessions were held completely online through zoom, therefore to give them an idea about the lab facilities, I prepared introductory videos for automation, power electronics and power systems laboratories.
- Graded coursework and assignments, and supervised exam candidates
